Yoga with Collette

I started my journey with yoga about 6-years ago when  my local leisure centre introduced Ashtanga, a traditional and powerful style of yoga.  I had no idea what to expect but instantly fell in love with the practice and out of curiosity began to explore a variety of styles over the years.

In 2017 I decided to make yoga truly part of my life by embarking on a Yoga Alliance  200 hour Teacher Training course at Whitespace Wellbeing Studio.  I loved everything I learnt and after 15 months of study, graduated as a qualified yoga teacher in 2018 - but this is just the start of my yoga teaching journey as the more I learn I realise the less I actually know about this amazing thing called Yoga.

I hold an immense gratitude to all my teachers and the training I've undertaken as they have helped shape me as a teacher and my life has continued to evolve and change because of them.

2019, I qualified as RESTORATIVE Yoga teacher, a style of yoga that's practised on the floor with the body fully supported with pillows and blankets - a deeply relaxing form of yoga and I can guarantee you a really 'good nights sleep' afterwards.

2019 I also undertook my Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training and upon qualifying, was invited back to  Whitespace Wellness Studio in 2020 to teach pregnancy yoga to mums-to-be.

2020, qualified in NIDRA or Yogic Sleep, a deliciously relaxing style of yoga that takes a systematic approach to journeying into deep relaxation without falling asleep

One thing I never loose sight of is that I'm still a student as well as a teacher of yoga and continue attending my weekly classes, this is time for me.
